Brian,
You’ve come up with some excellent, thought-provoking questions. It appears to me as to any that you a) are a true man of faith, b) you are a servant leader, and c) your job is a means to an end; you have clear understanding of your God-given mission in life.
If you feel like you are being driven in your life toward a certain purpose in a specific manner, yet other Christians are telling you to do something different, how do you know which way to go? For example, if you were directed to run this camp program, but the funding dropped out from under it, yet you felt that the Lord still wanted you there, how would you know to stay there versus going out and finding a job? What would keep you strong and focused to “stay the course,” even when all else says, “bail! Now!!”
