What Does Surrender Mean to You?
Seventh Day Slumber is one of my favorite bands. Their latest album “Take Everything” has quickly climbed the charts. One of my favorite songs on the album is “Surrender.” Watch their video and comment on what this song means to you.

When we put our trust in worldly things, we’re telling God we don’t need Him or His Son. Once we start depending on our own strength for our lives, we’ll only make things worse. Surrendering to God, to me, is giving up the things that you would usually put your trust in. You need to surrender and put your trust in God. It may seem that if you’re giving up everything, you’re empty, but God makes you whole. Some people, I can imagine, think that surrendering to God, much less to anything, is a weakness and should be avoided. I’ll admit, I tend to think that way too. But really, surrender isn’t really a weakness. It’s the opposite. To put your faith and trust in what you can’t physically see takes more of you then it would to focus on our own solutions. The more you give up and focus on God, the stronger you become.
