Winter Retreat Canceled Because of Winter Weather…WHAT?!

In less than twenty-four hours Kim and I along with the Sr. High Youth and leaders from Carlisle BIC are due to leave for their annual winter retreat. However, and this just seems wrong and strange, our area is due for some winter weather that may cancel the retreat.

WHAT! Okay…wait a minute…a “winter” retreat canceled due to “winter weather.” That just doesn’t seem right. But the truth is when you’re in youth ministry and traveling away from home with a group of students we have a responsibility to care for those students and for their safety.

So…right now we are all glued to the weather channel and praying this does NOT cancel the retreat. Because, and I’m not afraid to say it, if it’s canceled that will REALLY STINK! You know I seem to recall being in this same spot last year with another church.
