Dare2Share Survive; DC – Part II

4 11 2007

Over the past three years I have had the opportunity and privilege of attending Dare2Share’s conferences and this year’s Survive is by far the best. Greg Stier, Derwin Grey and Zane Black make for an awesome team. I don’t want to give away too much…I mean if you truly want to know what happens at a D2S conference then I highly suggest attending one at the many other locations throughout the U.S. For now I’ll give you an excerpt from Greg’s blog briefly describing this year’s conference.

Exhausted and Exhilarated (Thanks D.C.)
What a great weekend!
-It was our largest first year conference in our 16 year history (3,250ish)
-One hundred teenagers came to Jesus and many more pledged their allegiance to Jesus.
-4 1/2 tons of canned food collected
-the drama and skits worked
-Derwin and Zane (our new speakers) rocked the house
-Lincoln Brewster was awesome and Stellar Kart was stellar.
-The Washington Projects were great!
Praise God for putting this weekend together with such a great team.

While in D.C. we not only met Derwin and Zane but also other great people with a heart for ministry and teens; the many other volunteers, the D2S staff, many teens and their leaders, and Paul Romig-Leavitt (writer and performer for D2S skits and dramas).
Want to share your faith with everyone you know? Then…
– Attend a D2S conference, and if you need help getting their, send me an email or leave me comment. If you’re in the area you can join us for our Columbus, OH trip.
– Then take the double dare by going to doubledare.org.

Brenda!

I was hoping you’d check in while you were in our neighborhood. Bummer.
